CLINICAL RESEARCH

We are conducting clinical trials on the following conditions:

 

1. Type 2 diabetics uncontrolled on current treatment with metformin and piglitazone(Actos)

 

2. Type 2 diabetics who have recently had either a heart attack or unstable angina within the last 90 days

 

3. Type 2 diabetics who also have been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease such as heart attack, angina, peripheral arterial disease, stroke, TIA(mini-stroke) or abdominal aortic aneurysm

 

4. Type 2 diabetics uncontrolled on with diet and exercise alone

 

5. Gout patients who also have been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease including diabetes, heart attack, angina, peripheral arterial disease, TIA (mini-stroke) or abdominal aortic aneurysm

 

6. Patients diagnosed with early gout, and not yet on any treatment to lower their uric acid level

 

7. Patients diagnosed with COPD, emphysema or chronic bronchitis

 

If eligible, for any of the above studies you will receive at no cost:

• Study-related physical examinations

• Study-related laboratory test

• Study medication

• Compensation for your time and travel
