Primary Care/ General Internal Medicine

Our traditional practice provides general primary care to patients, including care of acute illness, long-term management of chronic conditions, preventive screenings, including cancer, diabetes, cholesterol and medical diagnosis and treatment.

 

We believe in comprehensive care, and take care of our patients both in the office and in the hospital. The doctors are on staff at Sharp Memorial Hospital and utilize both inpatient and outpatient services there.

 

Concierge Care/ Wellness & Prevention

We have recently added a Concierge component to our practice. Designed to promote wellness and expand preventive screening, for an annual fee, patients may elect to be a part of the Concierge practice. In addition to a comprehensive annual wellness physical , members of the Concierge program are promised same or next day appointments, which will begin on time! They will be scheduled on the half hour. Concierge members will enjoy unrushed personal care, with separate phone number access to the practice and after hour access to each doctor’s personal cell phone.

Sleep Medicine

Dr. Levinson and Laliotis  established The San Diego Center for Sleep Medicine in 2007. Sleep consultations are done at our main office. Sleep studies are performed at our affiliated sleep laboratory, Sonno Bello, in Mission Valley. The center provides comprehensive testing to help identify and treat a wide variety of sleep disorders including Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Snoring and Sleep Disturbed Breathing as well as Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome, Periodic Limb Movement Disorder and similar problems.

 

Services include Polysomnography and Multiple Sleep Latency Testing to help diagnose disorders related to sleep apnea, snoring and similar disorders. In addition, the San Diego Center for Sleep Medicine offers assistance in the form of education and procurement of necessary medical equipment including CPAP and BIPAP.

Clinical Research

We participate in many multi-center clinical trials in partnership with our research arm, Integrated Research Center. Trial participation allows us access to the latest pharmaceutical products and medical devices. Patients are able to use new medications and receive free, closely monitored care while enrolled in clinical trials. Aesthetic Medicine

We offer cosmetic dermatological services to the practice, including Botox Cosmetic and Juvederm Ultra Hyaluronic Acid wrinkle filler treatments.

A range of physician grade dermatological products to maintain patients’ healthy skin is available, including our Anti-Aging and Acne home kits.

Integrative Medicine

Dr. Levinson offers access to alternative treatments of medical problems with a holistic approach, combining complementary medicine, with emphasis on mind, body and spirit.

 

Vascular Ultrasound

We offer on-site diagnostic imaging including echocardiography, stress echocardiography, venous, carotid and peripheral arterial ultrasound in the workup of cardiac disease, venous thrombosis, peripheral vascular disease and stroke.

 

Cardiac Testing

We offer electrocardiography, exercise stress testing, Holter monitoring and Event recording in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease and arrhythmias.

 

Pulmonary Function Testing

We provide spirometry assessments in the management of asthma, COPD and other lung diseases.

 

Weight Loss

We recently added Take Shape for Life to our weight management division. This is a scientifically proven,  low calorie weight loss program designed by Medifast. This uses well balanced meal replacements and lean green meals, with personal health coaching to get you to your goal weights. We strongly believe that weight loss is an important factor to achieve for optimal health, and for prevention and control of many disease states. Expect to lose between 3- 5lbs per week on this program. We will help you transition to a maintenance program once you achieve your goal weight.
